Camp Marshall Equine Boarding Types & Guidelines
All boarders will adhere to Camp Marshall barn rules. Failure to adhere may result in termination of board via the termination section of the contract.
General Boarding Info
Boarding Includes:

1 Stall, 1 Single Paddock for one horse, Shared tack room (up to 3 Boarders) and One extra stall for grain, hay feed, etc. per one boarder (not per stall), (may be asked to share (up to 2 Boarders). Repairs to stalls that have excessive damages will be charged back to the boarder.

Extra storage for hay, etc. in designated loft above your stalls.

Use of all Equestrian Program Areas including indoor arena, 3 outdoor rings, event field and access to trails. (When there are no events, lessons or paid rentals occurring).

Space for ONE trailer

Use of Common areas such as grooming stalls, outdoor wash area and grooming areas

50x50 basic electric fenced area. If any additional containment is necessary, it is the responsibility of the boarder to supply, install & maintain, following a request & approval from the Camp Director in writing. Excessive repairs to fences & grounds caused by a boarder’s horse will be charged back to the boarder.

The Boarder is responsible for mowing and weed control within their paddock. Camp Marshall staff will weed whack the electric fence lines and common areas i.e. driveways, parking areas etc.

Maintenance such as mowing, weed whacking, fence repairs etc. will be completed based on the Camp Marshall Facilities scheduling.

NO modifications to barns, stalls, paddocks or related areas to include the installation of shades or shelters without written request & approval of the Camp Director. Since Camp Marshall owns no animals at this time, Night Check will be coordinated between boarders. Camp Marshall staff will help when Camp horses are on the grounds.

Trainers may be available for lessons (based on availability & staffing).
Boarding Types and Info
Rough Board:

$200 per month per horse

Boarders contracted under this ROUGH board agreement agree that they will provide everything needed for their horse’s daily care including but not limited to hay, grain, shavings, water, supplies for general horse care and health, etc.

The boarder is responsible for all routine and yearly horse care, feedings, vet calls, farrier appointments, daily grooming, etc.

The boarder must maintain daily stall cleaning as well as routine paddock cleaning (paddock to be cleaned at least weekly as weather permits i.e. snow, ice etc.) In the event that a boarder (not including Semi-Full), vacates a paddock or switches paddocks, the vacated paddock must be cleaned within ONE WEEK (7 days). After that the staff can be directed by the Camp Director to clean the paddock and prepare it for use. In this event a cleaning Fee of $200 will be assessed.

All Horses will be monitored by staff daily, it is the boarder’s responsibility to provide adequate hay, water and maintain a clean environment for said horse & surroundings. EXCEPTION: The only exception to this rule is that in the winter when the overnight temperature is going to drop below 30 degrees (F) Camp Marshall will provide the horse with water in the a.m. In this situation, please dump your outdoor water buckets at turn in so that it does not freeze overnight.

Camp Marshall facilities do not have Massachusetts approved 24-hour turnout. There is no outdoor shelter provided by Camp Marshall for inclement weather on the property. If a boarder would like to provide their own shelter for their horse, it must be requested & approved in writing in advance.

Rough Boarders agree to follow weather conditions and turn out and in appropriately NO Horse on Camp Marshall property will be left out or turned out in extreme weather conditions without appropriate shelter, please plan accordingly.

If Camp Marshall staff must perform any task to ensure adequate care and safety of said equine you will be charged extra fees (based on attached fee schedule). If Camp Marshall staff feels that the Rough board agreement guidelines are not being followed, this agreement can be terminated, and you will be asked to remove equine and all belongings per the termination section of the contract.
Semi - Rough Board:

$300 per month per horse.

Boarders contracted under this SEMI - ROUGH boarding agreement agree that they will adhere to the Rough board description & guidelines listed above, except for the differences noted below.

Camp Marshall agrees to feed said horse with a.m. grain provided by the boarder and turn out in the morning. (Unless prior arrangements have been made with Camp staff in writing) to swap a.m. & p.m. feedings or swap days – up to 5 feedings per week).

If there is inclement weather or said horse was out overnight, with no turnout needed, this can be exchanged for turn in. However, the said stall must be set up appropriately with hay and water by the boarder. In the event the boarder cannot setup the stall, the feed & hay must be portioned out and ready for Camp staff to place in the stall.

The boarder is responsible for setting up a.m. grain for Camp staff members as well as setting up the horse's paddock with adequate hay and water for a.m. turnout. EXCEPTION: The only exception to this rule is that in the winter when the overnight temperature is going to drop below 30 degrees (F) Camp Marshall will provide the horse with water in the AM. In this situation, please dump your outdoor water buckets at turn in so that it does not freeze overnight.

Camp Marshall agrees to one blanket change for a.m. turnout.

Blankets, sheets, fly sheets, etc. must be easily accessible and appropriately laid out for a.m. staff.

Camp Marshall facilities do not have Massachusetts approved 24-hour turnout. There is no outdoor shelter provided for inclement weather on property. You must be able to communicate with the Camp staff in regard to turning out for the day or if said horse is to be stalled for the day.

NO Horse on Camp Marshall property will be left out or turned out in extreme weather conditions without appropriate shelter, please plan accordingly.

If Camp Marshall staff must perform any task to ensure adequate care and safety of said equine you will be charged extra fees (based on attached fee schedule).

If staff feels that the semi-rough board agreement guidelines are not followed, the agreement can be terminated immediately and you will be asked to remove equine and all belongings per the termination section of the contract.

The Above Agreements are Monday through Friday. It is the boarder’s responsibility of all horse care and assigned areas upkeep Saturday and Sunday.

It is Boarders Responsibility (of all horse care and assigned areas upkeep on following Holidays (unless arrangements have been made in advance and approved in writing by the Camp Director):

Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Day, Labor Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Columbus Day, and Memorial Day

Semi – Full

$450 per month per horse.

Boarders contracted under this SEMI - FULL boarding agreement agree that they will adhere to the Rough & Semi-Rough board description & guidelines listed above, except for the differences noted below.

Feed is set up & prepared for the Camp staff weekly.

The boarder provides all grain, hay, supplements, shavings etc.

Camp Staff will perform a.m. & p.m. feedings, stall & paddock cleaning as well as turnout & turn in.
